The lake is yours.
So is the day.
Private lakeside weddings for up to 250 guests, within reach of Sacramento.

Welcome
The Lake at Silva Ranch is a private wedding venue within reach of Sacramento.
We host one wedding at a time on a working ranch with its own lake, vineyard, and gardens. On the day you book, the property is closed to everyone else, from setup until the last song.
You bring your own caterer, your own beer and wine, and your own vendors. We provide the setting and the logistics: parking, guest transportation, restrooms, shade, cooling, and patio heaters.

Approximately 200 most comfortable.
Outside vendors welcomed

Flexibility and Economics
You choose the caterer, the bar, and the vendors. That is where the money goes.
Most venues in this region control catering and alcohol, and the margin on both sits inside your quote. Here the venue fee covers the property and the logistics, and every other decision, and every other dollar, stays with you.

Controlled-service venue
- Required in-house or preferred catering
- Required bar package or minimum
- Corkage or required wine program
- Restricted vendor choices
- Paid parking or required valet
- Shared property or simultaneous events
- Required ending time
- Sound limitations
The Lake at Silva Ranch
- Outside caterers and cuisines welcomed
- Bring your own beer, wine, and champagne with no bar minimum
- No corkage
- Outside vendors welcomed
- Virtually unlimited on-property parking
- One celebration at a time
- No curfew
- No sound restrictions
On a 200-guest wedding, catering and bar are usually the two largest line items. Controlling both directly is the difference this property is built around.

Pricing
Every rate, published.
One venue fee covers the property and the logistics. There is no catering margin inside it, no bar package attached to it, and no figure you have to book a call to be told.
Weddings small enough to park near the vineyard and operate without the full golf-cart transportation system receive a reduction from the applicable venue fee. It is $1,000.

The Lake and the Land
A private lake, and no one else on it.
- The vineyard
- Planted rows run from the lake toward the barn, giving portraits depth and a horizon that reads as Northern California rather than as a manicured garden.
- The pool terrace
- Yours at no additional charge for cocktail hour. Guests take drinks and appetizers on the terrace while your photographer walks you down to the water below for portraits.
- Exclusive use
- One celebration is booked per day. The lawn, the water, the vineyard, and the drive are yours from setup through the end of the night.
The lake is the centre of the property and the reason most couples book. Ceremony seating sits on the lawn at the water's edge, with willows along the far bank and the vineyard running to the horizon behind them. Nothing on the site is shared, and nothing is visible from a neighbouring event, because there is no neighbouring event.

The Day
One day, from first light to after dark.
A complete wedding unfolds across the property, in this order, and ends when you decide it does.
Preparation
Each side of the wedding party settles into its own space to get ready.
Guest Arrival
Guests arrive to virtually unlimited on-property parking, with no valet line and no fees.
Golf-Cart Transport
Golf carts carry guests through the ranch and toward the lake, at the scale the wedding requires.
The Lake Reveal
The water comes into view, and the setting does the work of the first impression.
Ceremony
Vows at the water's edge, framed by the lake and open land.
Cocktail Hour on the Pool Terrace
After the ceremony, guests enjoy complimentary cocktails and appetizers overlooking the lake while the couple takes photographs below. When dinner is ready, guests transition directly to the reception.
Dinner
Your caterer serves the meal you chose, in a shaded reception setting under open sky.
Sunset Portraits
Evening light across the lake and vineyard gives portraits their setting.
Dancing After Dark
The party carries on with no curfew and no sound restrictions.
The Setting
The pool terrace, the lake, the gardens, and the vineyard.
