Welcome

The Lake at Silva Ranch is a private wedding venue within reach of Sacramento.

We host one wedding at a time on a working ranch with its own lake, vineyard, and gardens. On the day you book, the property is closed to everyone else, from setup until the last song.

You bring your own caterer, your own beer and wine, and your own vendors. We provide the setting and the logistics: parking, guest transportation, restrooms, shade, cooling, and patio heaters.

  • One wedding at a time

  • Private lake

  • Working vineyard

  • Bring your own bar

Everything a controlled venue will not let you do.

No second reception, no shared grounds, no other schedule running against yours.

Up to 250 guests

Approximately 200 most comfortable.

Outside vendors welcomed

Bring the caterer, planner, florist and band you want.

Flexibility and Economics

You choose the caterer, the bar, and the vendors. That is where the money goes.

Most venues in this region control catering and alcohol, and the margin on both sits inside your quote. Here the venue fee covers the property and the logistics, and every other decision, and every other dollar, stays with you.

On a 200-guest wedding, catering and bar are usually the two largest line items. Controlling both directly is the difference this property is built around.

The Lake and the Land

A private lake, and no one else on it.

01
The vineyard
Planted rows run from the lake toward the barn, giving portraits depth and a horizon that reads as Northern California rather than as a manicured garden.
02
The pool terrace
Yours at no additional charge for cocktail hour. Guests take drinks and appetizers on the terrace while your photographer walks you down to the water below for portraits.
03
Exclusive use
One celebration is booked per day. The lawn, the water, the vineyard, and the drive are yours from setup through the end of the night.

The lake is the centre of the property and the reason most couples book. Ceremony seating sits on the lawn at the water's edge, with willows along the far bank and the vineyard running to the horizon behind them. Nothing on the site is shared, and nothing is visible from a neighbouring event, because there is no neighbouring event.

Golf-cart transportation runs at the scale the full event requires.
